I believe the new agents need to be trained on all aspects of real estate, and they need to know you are there for them. I will go with them on appointments, sit with them while they write their first couple of agreements of sale, and even attend their first few closings with them. I also congratulate them and praise them often when they complete a transaction or acquire a new customer. Some days it can be tough out there, and the new agents need to feel that they can depend on their managers morning, noon, or night. I make myself available to all my agents 7 days a week. They always know how to reach me.
The experienced agent I view as my customer. Without them, we don't have a company. They do not need as much hand-holding as new agents; however whenever they have a difficult situation, they need to know I am there to help. I also take their ideas and suggestions seriously. I screen potential recruits very thoroughly so as to continue the same quality and harmony that now exists in my office. We emphasize quality, not quantity at Coldwell Banker Heritage. I also don't compete for business with my agents. It means a lot to them.
